Art Educator & Graphic Designer

I recently graduated from Appalachian State University with my BFA in Graphic Design as well as my BFA in Art Education. I found my passion in the Blue Ridge Mountains making and teaching art. I now work as a graphic designer for Aramark at the University of Chapel Hill. Daily, I am grateful for the opportunity to use my skills, talents, and creativity to brighten the student experience through my designs.

In my personal design work, I love to explore color, incorporate illustrations, and experiment with layers and type. However, when given a project, designing becomes somewhat of a visual puzzle - How can each piece fit together to be visually appealing and eye-catching according to the content? This is a brief insight into my ever-changing creative process that alters based on new things I learn about the programs I use, people I meet, and designs I see.

In my free time, I love to read, paint, cook vegetarian recipes I find on Pinterest, and watch reality TV (Big Brother? Amazing Race? Big fan right here!)
